Frequently asked questions

The most common questions from contractors, distributors and site teams about vinyl flooring, installation systems and the NETTO service. If your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp.

Polyflor products · the NETTO service

How can I confirm the flooring is genuine Polyflor?

NETTO is an official Polyflor distributor in Ecuador: every delivery includes the manufacturer's technical datasheet and an invoice with batch traceability. We can verify the batch and reference code with you before purchase.

Does NETTO deliver the flooring directly to the job site?

Yes. Besides the Loja showroom, we deliver to job sites across Ecuador —including Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca— and coordinate deliveries in Bolivia. On large projects, delivery is scheduled in phases following the construction calendar.

What if I need more material halfway through the project?

We work with local stock: when your project is confirmed we reserve material from the same batch and colour, so an extension keeps visual continuity without import lead times.

Do you help with documentation for hospital tenders?

Yes. We provide datasheets, certificates and conformity declarations ready for tender submissions —including NTE INEN-ISO 26986 and Bfl-s1 fire reaction— and we support the evaluation committee's technical queries.

NETTO own line · quality and backing

Are NETTO floors an own brand or third-party?

They are NETTO's own line: we import them under our own technical specification, with quality control on every batch, a technical datasheet and a traceable invoice. Being an own brand, project replenishment keeps the same batch and reference throughout.

How does the NETTO line compare in quality with European brands?

NETTO is also an official distributor of leading European manufacturers, and we apply the same technical filter to our own line: use classification (ISO 10874), wear resistance and fire behaviour (Bfl-s1), verified in the datasheet before listing each reference. European-level specification, direct-import price.

What warranty and backing does the NETTO own line have?

The backing is NETTO itself: written warranty against manufacturing defects, technical support from the same team that assists hospital and industrial installations, and local stock in Loja for same-batch replenishment during the project's life.

Why is the NETTO line a good fit for hospitals and schools?

Because it solves the complete package with a single supplier: flooring with use classification 23/34/43 and Bfl-s1 depending on the reference, sanitary accessories and welding rod in the same order, technical documentation for tenders and delivery to site in Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca and Loja.

MAPEI systems · technical support

Do you sell just the product or the complete installation system?

We supply the complete MAPEI system —self-leveller, primer and adhesive— dosed for your area and substrate type. The contractor receives a compatible kit in a single order, with no brand mixing or consumption guesswork.

How do I know which adhesive matches my floor covering?

Our technical team matches each MAPEI adhesive datasheet to your covering type —homogeneous vinyl, LVT or wall covering— and subfloor condition. The quotation includes estimated consumption per m², so you buy exactly what you need.

Can I buy small quantities for a minor job?

Yes. Alongside large projects we also serve minor jobs and refurbishments in retail formats, with the same technical backup: yields, curing times and the correct application sequence are all covered.

Does NETTO carry out the installation, or my installer?

NETTO supplies the system and technically supports your trusted installer: MAPEI application guide, layer sequence and surface checks. On large projects we provide support throughout the installation.

Accessories and trims

Which accessories does a complete hospital installation need?

To hand over a ready area: PVC skirting, sanitary cove former, welding rod, copper tape in conductive zones and stair nosings at entrances. All of it can be ordered together with the flooring in a single order.

Can accessories be purchased separately?

Yes. Accessories are sold independently, including for jobs where the flooring was purchased earlier or from another supplier. Ask for sizes and references via WhatsApp.

Does the welding rod match the floor colour?

Yes. The rod is supplied by colour reference so the weld blends in; in conductive areas it is paired with copper tape and electrical resistance is verified after welding.

General buying questions

How much does vinyl flooring cost per m² in Ecuador?

It depends on thickness (2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 mm), the chosen range and project size. A formal quotation is issued the same week and itemises flooring, installation system and accessories, so you compare total project cost rather than material price alone.

What is vinyl sheet flooring?

It is a continuous 2 m-wide sheet that covers a room with virtually no joints: the few seams are welded airtight. That is why it is the standard in hospitals and laboratories, where hygiene and cleanability are everything.

Homogeneous or heterogeneous vinyl: which one to choose?

Homogeneous vinyl has colour throughout its thickness: it can be refinished and withstands heavy traffic —ideal for hospitals, schools and retail. Heterogeneous vinyl carries the design layer and shines in decorative projects. Full guide in our Guides section.

What is the best flooring for a hospital in Ecuador?

For clinical areas: welded homogeneous vinyl with a sanitary cove former running up the wall; in wet or spill-prone zones, an anti-slip safety range. The assembly must meet Bfl-s1 fire reaction and allow easy disinfection.

Which certificates does the flooring have for tender submissions?

The ranges we represent comply with NTE INEN-ISO 26986 (Ecuador), EN 13501-1 Bfl-s1 (fire reaction) and ISO 10874 class 23/34/43 (use). Datasheets are downloadable in Resources, and NETTO assembles the complete documentation package for your file.

Is anti-static flooring suitable for the electronics industry?

Yes. The anti-static and conductive ranges control electrical charge (≤2 kV) and, with copper tape and full welding, form a continuous technical floor for laboratories, electronics and areas with sensitive equipment.

Do you handle projects for schools and shopping centres?

Yes. High-traffic schools and shopping centres go with refinishable homogeneous vinyl or commercial LVT depending on the area. In operating facilities, delivery is phased so operations never stop.

Do you serve customers outside Ecuador?

Yes. We serve Bolivia —Santa Cruz, La Paz and Cochabamba— and the Andean region, coordinating logistics and export documentation from Loja. Write to us with your project's estimated volume.

How do I request a quotation?

Via WhatsApp at +593 99 212 1649, the contact form or email. To quote fast, it helps to share: approximate m², project type (hospital, school, retail, industry), delivery city and deadlines. We reply within the same week.
